JUSTICE: LOWERING MY HEAD ON CHRISTMAS DAY

I’ve been beaten and battered

Dragged in the mud and thrown into the ash

Bought with money and pierced in the heart

Oh! What a shame on my conscience

There’s no truth of me any longer

Even in the court of justice

With their brown envelopes

While the innocent paupers cannot fine me with the truth

Judgement passed swiftly as lightening

When the rich are concerned

But isn’t it delayed as the coming of the Son of Man

When the poor are staked

Evil doers smirk out of the

Court room because I’ve been bought

I groan, moan and wail

For somebody to give a helping hand

Ah! Ah! Justice is no more
