YOU NEVER TRULY KNOW THE WORTH OF WHAT YOU HAVE TILL YOU LOOSE IT

Hi friends, I bring you hearty end of the month (and pre-new month) greetings trusting that you are faring well.

I believe the caption is something most of us - or at least, a good number of us, are already familiar with as it is a popular saying. If this however, is your first time of coming across it, it's still ok. Ponder over it,  what comes to your mind?

You are probably wondering why this  is coming your way. If you are a constant follower on this platform, you already know the  saying "Grandparents are a Library of Sought." Sadly, more often than not, they are neglected by us the younger generation, the Gen-Zs. We keep them at a distance probably because they are appear unattractive with those wrinkles and grey hairs, or are too slow or simply can't operate at the Gen-Z level of tech and social media, not being up to date with trending tik-tok challenges and what have you. As a result of these and many more, we often find it hard to relate with them and keep making up various excuses to keep them at a distance till they eventually pass away to the other side of existence thereby making us to miss out on the vast array of knowledge and wisdom they posses.

Are you such a person or do you have someone around you who mistreats and pays little attention to those grannies? I besiege you to change and call others to order too. Call to check up on them frequently, ask questions, generally draw closer to them to tap from their wealth of knowledge and experience which will serve as a guide through life, considering that they already have toured the path you are just starting out on.

Beyond our grannies, do well also to cultivate the habit of checking up on others;  friends,  neighbours, old classmates cousins, etc.

Till I come your way again, I am still Nnabugwu Chinazaekpere,

Anchor/Host

Written in Honour and remembrance of Late Mrs Asije Ihuomakaliwu Nnabugwu whose journey to eternity was embarked on, on June 30th 2022.

Dear Grandma, you may not be physically present here with us (your children, grand and great-grand children), but your legacy lives.
