My inspirational Mom

March 8, 2023 is the global celebration of women worldwide.

Dear teens and kids, please join me and the crew members of your oneness platform the

to celebrate in line with the 2023 theme “DigitALL: INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY FOR GENDER EQUALITY” all the innovative and tech Grandmas, Great Grandmas and other women around you, particularly our very dear mothers. Do I need to recount here their innovativeness, in terms of bringing us up, Abeg no go there… (pardon my grammar). Of course they are not the only ones to celebrate. Our aunties, elder sisters, and teachers, etc (Not End of thinking Capacity). I wish to share with us some very wonderful women in my life, and encourage you to do the same, as well as share your experiences and memories with them.

ABUSE: 3

She walked downstairs taking a step at a time. She did a quick survey, she was the only one wearing a French dress. As a matter of fact, she was the only one who wasn’t wearing a cultural attire.

‘Thank God Wunmi didn’t listen to me,’ DJ thought to herself. She walked back to Wunmi’s room. She opened the door.

‘Did you and your friend get into a fight?’ Mrs. Anthony asked daughter in frustration. She couldn’t understand why her daughter insisted on not following Omawunmi home. The whole thing was her idea in the first place.

‘I’m asking you!’ She said when she got no response from DJ.

‘No.’ DJ finally said as her shoulders fell and her eyes fixed on the ground.

‘No? Why then?’

‘Nothing.’ Dubem mumbled.

ABUSE

Dubem Anthony Jr. (DJ) was still waiting on her best friend, Omawunmi Kolade’s dad. Since her dad had decided to be absent from her life and her mum was usually busy with work, Wunmi’s dad would pick them up from school. Surprisingly, her very strict mum was okay with it.

Sooner than fifteen minutes later, Mr. Kolade was in the school parking lot.

‘Oya Hurry up! I have a meeting by 7 this evening. I want to get some rest before then.’ He said looking at his shiny wristwatch. It looked expensive and it probably was.

‘Good afternoon Daddy,’ Wunmi hugged her father in the front seat.
