UGOEZE OGBONNA: NNEOMA AWARD CONFERED ON HER, HONOUR WELL DESERVED

Call it a day of Thanksgiving, prayers and praises; call it a memory making, a memory keeping and celebration day, in the family of Very Rev. Ogbonna Victor, of Ameke Ibeku, Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State, South East Nigeria, and particularly, members of the Methodist Church, at the Archbishop Dimoji Memorial Cathedral, Ihube, also the same State, when the Clergy, the men, women, youths, teens and kids of Methodist Church, and many other people, from the various Christian denominations, poured out in mass as the Bishop's wife, Nneoma Chinwendu Ada Ekebuisi, stepped out to honour an exceptional and adorable woman, a child of God, and a committed, hardworking Mother and Wife, a dedicated co-worker in the vine yard of God, who has proven over the years, a reliable and dependable, huge source of inspiration, an ally and strong supporter of her husband's calling, as a servant of God. 

She is Mrs. Ogbonna, Rhoselyn Ugoeze, who was recently honoured as Nneoma (the good Mother), in the Methodist Church family. Nneoma, is an award of recognition, created and reserved for women who have proven exemplary, through outstanding performance geared towards the growth of the Church, in one hand and service to humanity on the other.


The epoch making event, witnessed on the event day, women of the Methodist Church, in large number, clan in the very colourful Uniform of the Women's Fellowship: host of the award ceremony. This development according to some of the people, our correspondent spoke to, was a glaring indication that the day was theirs, and a confirmation that it was officially approved. It was also a subtle way of announcing to the world that the award recipient, merited the award and honour conferred on her, the other women said. 



The award of Nneoma, to Mrs. Ogbonna, Rhoselyn Ugoeze, by the wife of the Bishop, and by extension Women of the Methodist Church, through their umbrella body, the Women's Fellowship, according to women is a testimonial, of the presence of an admirable character and quality on the award recipient. It is a recognition, a mark of honour, and a huge source of encouragement to her, and equally a call to do more, another set of women noted. They, spoke in a voice and tone they claimed was full of joy, gratitude and admiration of the Almighty, who they said, granted them the opportunity to witness the event.

Please see below, a brief PROFILE OF RHOSELYN UGOEZE OGBONNA, the  recipient of the Nneoma award, confers on her, on December 27th, 2022, at the Archbishop Dimoji Memorial Cathedral, Ihube.

Born to the family of Late Sunday Uzoanya of Amafor Isingwu Ohuhu and married to Very Rev. Ogbonna Victor Iyk of Ameke Ibeku both in Umuahia North L.G.A. Abia State, the adorable RHOSELYN UGOEZE OGBONNA had a humble beginning that dovetailed into shaping her life for the Master's use. She is a child of God and a virtuous woman of noble character. She holds a B.sc. degree in Accounting from Michael Okpara Federal University of Agriculture, PG Dip. Education and Dip. Computer Sc. She creditably served as a church worker in Methodist Church Nigeria for 18 years. Over the years, she has attestedly shown outstanding and remarkable qualities that distinguishes her undying love for God's work. She is a role model in women Fellowship and has effectively impacted on the younger ones. RhossyVic has indeed been a great blessing to the husband, the church and the society.
