The Secretary St. Piran’s Anglican Church Youth Fellowship, the young Nnabugwu Chinazaekpere, who is also the teens representative of the fellowship, has opened up a little on the soon-to-be unveiled Project of the Group: the Journey, saying:
“At
a time most Christian youths are struggling to sort themselves out, find a
clear direction in life and remain faithful to their faith, serving diligently
as true soldiers of the Almighty Lord; at a time many parents and grandparents
are complaining about the unpleasant attitudes of their children and
grandchildren, and at a time many of them are giving up, the St. Piran’s Youth
Fellowship, also known as SPYFELL has risen to the rescue. SPYFELL in a near
radical manner is injecting into the Society something captivating, educating
and entertaining, massive, encompassing and highly enriching”.
Continuing, Chinazaekpere noted that “The action of SPYFELL in her present outing is best described as “Bridging”. It serves as a rallying point, empowerment instrument and a transformation tool, targeted at benefiting particularly the teens and youths, who as we know are under constant pressure resulting from negative influences, compounded by the internet and worsened increasingly by the seeming weak or lack of real defence mechanisms and structures to prepare and effectively equip the young Nigerians to cope and contend with the challenges before them. The structures which are vital not only to frustrate the activities of the negative minded are critical in helping the younger generation to carve a more reliable path, and a planned, secured, dependable and sustainable future for themselves.
“I mean a future that will be characterised by competence-based-learning, functional and result-driven, impact-oriented education. This will ensure massive engagement, active participation and objective-based reward system and a fulfilling lifestyle for the Nigerian teens and youths.
“As a youth focused Group that understands clearly her mandate, and one that is very much aware, indeed up-to-date with the challenges faced by the youths and teens, and one that is working consistently to achieve her mandate of evangelizing the teens and youths first and foremost, and supporting the church to extend and expand her reach and impact many more lives, SPYFELL is also in the business of making the younger generation more productive members of the church and the society.
“SPYFELL as a faith-based, community-oriented and people-driven youth Group is in tune with the expectations of the younger generation and what is required to inspire, motivate and encourage them. We at SPYFELL are passionately positioned to effectively move large percentage of youths and teens, beginning from Jos the Plateau State capital away from negative vices and influences, and providing the trigger necessary for building, especially those desirous of living a decent, praiseworthy and exemplary lifestyle to do so and still pose outstanding and remarkable results in life.”
Nnabugwu Chinazaekpere did not conclude without stating that: SPYFELL has come with a BANG, and has done so in a positively punchy manner. This Project will have a bullet effect on the teens and youths she emphasised…
