BEFORE THE COVID BREAK IS OVER

The Anchor

Dear kingdom-minded, success-driven teens and kids, you would have noticed the break in the activities of the platform for some time now. I know that a lot of you would have been worried concerning it, but the truth is that the break was intentional. I know some of you are asking why?

Let me begin by reminding us of the adage:

“The child that says the soup prepared by the father is not delicious, wants to know why the mother left.”

Well, it was planned to receive your own contribution to the platform considering the fact that we have been at home for some time now and there must have been a lot of stories to share, believing this long break affords us a great time to learn a lot (moral, educational, religious and skill wise) from each other, which is the major objective of this Platform: CONVERTING PRESSURE TO LEARNING. Another of course is to create knowledge driven and creativity oriented fun saturated games and brain teasers, but sadly, una fall my hands - there were none. Apologies, non Pigin-English speaking friends.

Anyway, I monitored and waited for comments, stories or reports of events that happened around you and the lessons you learnt from them but received none.

  • What could be the reason?
  • Could it be lack of Data?
  • Could it be you were engaged with on-line classes?
  • Were you involved in learning a trade or skill? Or
  •  Is it due to stinginess: keeping your experiences to yourself?

Meanwhile, I did not forget that the economy is biting very hard.

As you can see, it is not only in school that you can be busy with serious learning. Education is formal and informal. As kingdom-minded, success-driven teens and kids (friends of this platform), we keep ourselves busy, learning important things in and outside the four walls of the school.

In case you have converted this break to idol time, wake up! Do something: Capture your experiences, write your stories and encourage others who do not have access to this platform to write theirs too not necessarily for the purpose of sharing with us. If you can, help them to share it on this platform.

Please note, the purpose of writing is not necessarily to make you writers, but to document your experiences, ideas, feelings and thoughts for future reference.

Besides your writing skill, you can also use the COVID break to identify and develop other talents of yours like singing, baking, cooking, poetry, and so on, into skills. Basic lifesaving skills are also very important, but remember to do so in environments where the COVID protocols are strictly observed.

Before I leave, take this brain teaser.

In which country and city did COVID-19 emanate?

Till I come your way next time,

Byeeee……...
