LESSONS FROM THE GAMES OF THE ST. PIRANS YOUTH WEEK PICNIC 2020

Dear friends, you will recall that the last two posts on this Platform, were centered on reports from two interesting, mind tasking games from the St. Pirans Youth Week 2020. Before signing off, from the last post, I implored you to ponder over each of the last two posts/games and share the lessons you learnt from them on this Platform, so that others can learn from them.

Anyway, I have done mine, and happy to share with us, while also encouraging you to follow suit. Please enjoy the ride:

From the miming game

  • Think deep and out of the box in every situation.
  • Learn to work together as a team wherever you find yourself.
  • If you are a leader anywhere, learn how to carry everybody along.
  • Do not underestimate or look down on anybody’s idea no matter the age or position of the person.
  • Learn to relate well with others.

Lessons from the treasure hunt:

  • Team work is important.
  • Learn how to carry everybody along whenever you are doing something.
  • Learn how to identify clues that are in whatever you are doing and use them to arrive at your destination.
  • Always think abstractly.
  • Approach things with an open mind and never as a “Do or Die affair”.
  • Be ready to learn from situations where you find yourself.
  • Always have the spirit of sportsmanship.

Dearies, you’ll agree with me that the circle of learning will not be complete without your contributions. So, send in lessons you learnt from the treasure hunt and charade games. Would you mind sharing with us, what the game of Ludo means to you?

We're waiting for your comments and stories. We want to learn from you too. Waiting….

Your Anchor and Host,

Nnabugwu Chinaza
