2023 Presidential and National Assembly Election in Nigeria : Sharing My Thoughts With Teens and Kids 1

Copied from the internet

Hello and happy new month young and vibrant achievers. It’s been a while since we last interacted on this platform. I hope you have all been faring well.

For those of you residing in Nigeria, the last two weeks have been very dramatic beginning with the round-off of the election campaigns that ended on February 23, 2023. Thereafter, the presidential and National Assembly (Senate and House of Representatives) election which was conducted on Saturday February 25, 2023 in most places and Sunday February 26, 2023 in few other places where elections were either inconclusive or was not conducted on Saturday due to some hitches the electoral body in Nigeria – Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) identified.

I wish to use this opportunity to appreciate all teens and kids who participated in one way or the other during the electioneering processes leading to the Saturday February 25, 2023 election in Nigeria. These you did through:

  • Prayers
  • Carrying out normal domestic chores and
  • Engaging your parents, elder siblings and senior friends

In case you are wondering why you should engage parents, siblings and senior friends, the reason is very simple. This election provides a good opportunity for you to be enlightened beyond classroom knowledge on issues relating to elections by explaining in practical terms basic terminologies some of which you have learnt in school during Government and Civic Education classes.

Do you still remember some of these terminologies? Join us next time to explore some of them.

Remember to invite your friends to join us here.

I remain Nnabugwu, Chinazaekpere
