DJ hummed a song as she washed her hands. She could barely hear herself, the music outside was very loud.
*Bang
DJ heard the bathroom door close. She wasn’t sure if it was the real or her imagination, so she stepped out. Maybe someone else wanted to use the bathroom. There were clearly many guests.
DJ was surprised by who she saw. Mr. Kolade. There he was stood with that same look on his face. His eyes dark with lust with his gaze fixed on her chest and his teeth on his lower lip. DJ became very uncomfortable. She knew she should have carried a shawl along.
‘Good morning Sir,’ she greeted and rushed to walk pass him. She needed to leave.
‘Where are you rushing to?’ He grabbed her right arm and pulled her back. DJ could hear her own heartbeat in her ears. Mr. Kolade carried DJ and placed her on the wet sink. Her fingers immediately became cold, she was anxious.
He planted his lips on her neck and kissed her passionately.
‘Mm’ He breathed and then licked her skin. DJ felt a sensation on her spine. She had never felt this feeling before. She gasped and closed her eyes tightly.
‘What exactly is happening?! Is this man crazy? His family is celebrating the birth of his son and he’s here in the bathroom with his daughter’s best friend.’ DJ’s mind exclaimed as she thought.
Mr. Kolade had a firm grip on her waist. He pressed his torso on her chest and jammed his lips with hers. He tried to force his tongue into her mouth, but she firmly shut her mouth as tightly as she could. The man chuckled. Apparently, he was amused by her actions.
‘Sir…stop!’ Was all DJ was able to say.
‘Stop what?’ His hands slid down her dress.
‘Baba Wale! Baba Wale! You dey here? Dem wan start oo’ People called from outside from the bathroom.
‘I’ll be out in a minute!’ Mr. Kolade yelled looking right into DJ’s eyes.
He looked at the mirror beside DJ and adjusted his cap. DJ watched him walk out of the bathroom. She took several deep breaths and tried her best to fake a smile. She walked out of the bathroom as well, about thirty seconds later.
As soon as DJ stepped out, she met the questioning gazes of Wunmi’s mother and some of the guests.
She walked out too soon!
