2023 Presidential and National Assembly Election: Sharing My Thoughts With Teens and Kids 2

Copied
Salut mes amies (Hello my friends, translated in French), welcome on board once again. I have no doubt you have been good ambassadors of the kingdom. As kingdom-minded, success-driven teens and kids I can’t expect less. As the host of your very unique brand: Naza’s Corner, I can conveniently assure you that the team I lead is as always, properly and effectively positioned to make your resolve of remaining Kingdom minded teens and kids a pleasurable, memorable and realistic goal. This is the reason we are committed to driving you and your noble aspiration through a progressive and impact oriented path for a meaningful life style.

In a recent publication on this platform (please click this link to access it), we urged you to do something with regard to your involvement on teens and kids related matters in relation to the recently concluded elections in Nigeria. We requested you to interact with your parents, siblings, aunties and uncles and seek more enlightenment on election related terminologies and other issues that your Civic education and Government teachers have taught you during your classroom learnings. This request is necessary in view of the fact that Presidential and National Assembly (Senate and House of Representatives) elections which Nigerians from 18 years and above took part in was recently conducted. We also drew your attention briefly to the roles expected of you as good ambassadors of your unique brand, Naza’s corner. These roles include: Praying for the success, peaceful and hitch-free conduct of the election and documenting the experiences which you gathered from Radio/TV programmes, social media discussions, and interactions with some of your social and academic influencers whom you engaged within the period. I have also not forgotten of course your active role in carrying out your usual domestic chores. Remember if you did not do any of the things mentioned, there is still opportunity for you to make amends come the next election. And in case you did some notable things that are mentioned here, please do well to share with us on this platform.

Back to the issue of engaging with your Parents, siblings and friends on election related terminologies, a request that was made to enable you connect with the classroom teaching you’ve had in Government and Civic Education. They include: voter apathy, Franchise, electoral malpractice, rigging, polling booth, ballot box, ballot papers, polling units, Permanent Voters Card (PVC) etc. Few of the terms as you can see have been outlined, you can add to the list by sending your inputs through the commentary box below so that others can learn from you. Abeg oo (please oo in Nigerian pigin) don’t do shakara (stingy, also in Nigerian pigin) with your knowledge.

Till I come your way next time, remember to share with other teens and kids you know in their individual and group platforms. Let us know your thoughts and that of your friends thought the commentary box of this platform. Please invite your friends to join us.
